Kia ora Neha. Thank for showing us how you created the fingerprints. Good effort for doing your whole family. I like the way you used the information form the video to identify the different types of fingerprints. I bet you could use this technique to make some cool art work. Can you think of any other uses for this idea?
Kia ora Neha! Thank you for sharing your finger print investigation on your blog! I found it so interesting that you had different pattern types as a family. But this is apparently not unusual. Did you learn anything new from this Nano Girl activity?
Fun fact - Did you know that there are only a few non-human animals with unique fingerprints, including gorillas, chimpanzees, and koalas. In fact the fingerprints of koalas are apparently so similar to humans’ that even experts have difficulty telling them apart. So it won't be long before someone blames their crimes on a koala! Ha Ha!
I hope that you and your family are having a fabulous Christmas and I look forward to following more of your Summer Learning Journey discoveries. Nga mihi, Naomi (Manaiakalani Facilitator)
It’s Charlotte again, a blog commenter for Manaiakalani. Nice work on completing the ‘Nanogirl, fingerprint’ activity!
I agree, this task is very interesting, it is so amazing that every single person has different fingerprints! What was your favourite part of this activity? I enjoyed comparing the fingerprints of everyone in my family!
It seems like you have been practicing taking fingerprints by trying it out on your family - you’re almost like a detective!
